we are moving | Announcement | Posted June 20th 2026

Today is extra special.

Not only is it my birthday, but Steve and I are finally able to share one of the biggest milestones of our lives.

We are moving The Network Salon + The Network Yoga into a property that we own.

This moment feels surreal because this story didn't start with a building.

It started in 2012, when I was 21 years old, super broke, getting denied for business loans, bartending at night, and doing hair in my kitchen during the day.

Even then, I knew I wanted to own a salon. I just couldn't find the right place to work. I wanted a beautiful, clean environment, like-minded people, flexibility, and a great location. Since I couldn't find it, I decided I would create it myself.

Those kitchen days are some of my favorite memories. I charged next to nothing because I wanted experience. I built relationships with clients who still come to our salon today. My kitchen walls were bright red, so honestly I don't know how anyone's color came out right. Eventually I had so many cars in my driveway that my neighbor reported me for running a business from home.

That actually pushed me to rent chairs, hire an assistant, and continue growing.

By 2014, I opened Gina Bianca Hair on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike.

I poured every dollar I had into that space. Everything took three times longer because I paid for it as I went, but when we finally opened, it felt like a dream come true.

At the time, if you told me I would ever leave Gina Bianca Hair, I would have told you that you were crazy.

That salon taught me so much. It taught me that being present matters. It taught me not to take things personally. It taught me that growth isn't always good growth. It taught me that businesses thrive when their leaders are in love with what they're building.

In 2019, we opened The Network.

Funny enough, 409 Canal Street was actually the first location I ever looked at years earlier, but I couldn't afford the buildout. When the opportunity came around again, we took the leap.

I originally opened The Network because of education. At the time, my education business was booming and I had an entire year of classes booked.

Then COVID hit.

Like so many business owners, we were devastated. It almost bankrupted our family. I hit a point where I needed help and stepped away to focus on my health and recovery. Looking back, that season changed my life.

When I came home, something amazing happened.

People wanted flexibility. Our salon filled. Opportunities opened. We expanded next door. The local yoga studio closed, and what started as an idea became The Network Yoga.

Today, we have an incredible salon team, hundreds of members, a hybrid salon model, and a community that I am unbelievably proud of.

Over the last seven years, I stopped chasing what everyone else thought success should look like and started falling back in love with being a salon owner.

These days I do hair once a month and spend most of my time supporting our team, talking with clients, and yes, even working the front desk. Believe it or not, I think that's one of the best places to learn about your business.

For the last three years, Steve and I have been working toward this move.

And I truly could not have done it without him.

He is the organized one. The disciplined one. The steady one. He is the reason we are able to make this dream a reality.

Owning a property has been our goal ever since opening The Network. After pouring so much money into rented spaces, we knew we could never do this again. The next one had to be ours.

This move is about security.

It's about freedom.

It's about creating something lasting for our children.

It's about having control over our space and planting real roots in the town that has supported us since 2014.

Most people see The Network as a larger brand, but at the end of the day, we're just a family business.

This is our life.

We have everything invested in it.

And we are so grateful that you've chosen to support us.

When you walk into our new home, I hope you feel proud to support a local family business. I hope you feel welcome. I hope you feel like you belong here.

Because none of this belongs only to us.

  • Every appointment booked.
  • Every class attended.
  • Every product purchased.
  • Every student who trusted me.
  • Every team member who believed in our vision.
  • Every client and member who walked through our doors.

You all helped build this.

So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

This next chapter isn't about getting bigger.

It's about putting our roots down.

It's about creating something sustainable.

It's about raising our babies, serving our community, and pouring our whole hearts into this business for many years to come.

And honestly?

We can't wait to welcome you home.

Love,

Gina & Steve

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where are you moving?

Our new home will be located at:

1650 West Street, Southington, CT 06489

For our current guests and members, the good news is that we are staying right here in Southington. We've called this community home since 2014, and it was incredibly important to us to continue putting down roots here.

Our new location is just minutes from our current home at 409 Canal Street and is conveniently located directly across the street from Cava - near Homegoods and Target on West Street.

We are about 3 minutes off the highway.

If you can find 409 Canal Street, you can find us!

What's the history of the building?

Our new home has a wonderful local history. The building was originally home to Patrick Baker & Sons, a family-owned business that operated their retail store there for many years.

Today, Patrick Baker & Sons continues to operate their warehouse from the lower level of the building and will remain part of the property. We love that this building already has such strong roots in the community and that another local family business will continue to call it home alongside us.

    Why this location?

Location was incredibly important to us. We wanted something that was easy to find, convenient for our guests, and close to the community that has supported us for over a decade.

Most importantly, we wanted a place we could truly make our own.

  • Why are you moving?

After years of renting and investing heavily into spaces we didn't own, Steve and I made the decision that our next chapter needed to be in a property of our own. Owning allows us to put down roots, have complete creative control, and continue building for the future. Our lease is coming to and end and we have decided not to renew and the timing has lined up almost perfectly to move our existing operation to our new space.

  • Are you closing?

Absolutely not! We are simply relocating and will continue providing the same services and classes you know and love.

  • Will my stylist/teacher still be there?

Yes! As of right now, our entire team is moving with us, and we will continue to communicate any individual changes if they arise. We are all about transparency so if a team member moves on and you'd like to know where they are, we will of course share that information with you!

  • Will the name change?

Yes and No. We will still be The Network Salon but The Network Yoga will be called the Network Wellness since we offer so much more than yoga!

  • Will your prices increase because of the move?

Transparency is one of our core values, so the answer is yes, some pricing changes will happen over time.

One of the biggest additions to our new home will be heated classes. We are investing in a sophisticated hot yoga heating system, which is a significant investment and comes with higher operating costs. Because of that, heated classes will be offered at a different price point than our traditional classes.

For our current unlimited members, we plan to grandfather existing memberships. If you currently have an unlimited membership, we strongly encourage you to hold onto it. At this time, we are not sure if unlimited memberships will continue to be offered to new members in the future since our yoga studio will be slightly smaller and we will only have one studio space.

As always, any adjustments we make are done thoughtfully with the long-term health of our business and community in mind. Our goal is to continue providing the highest quality experience possible while creating a sustainable future for our family business.

  • When will you officially move?

We'll be sharing updates throughout the process. Our goal is to make the transition as smooth as possible with minimal disruption. We are hoping to move in by September 1st with the week before being dedicated to moving so we will be closed - it all depends on how the construction goes and how the town of Southington progresses with inspections and permits.

  • Will there be heated classes?

Yes! One thing we're incredibly excited about is expanding our fitness and wellness offerings, including heated classes.

  • How many studios will you have?

We will have one studio that holds 20 people.

  • Will there still be yoga?

Of course! Yoga will always be at the heart of what we do, along with barre, Pilates, sculpt, and other wellness offerings.

  • Will parking be easier?

YES! We're very excited about this. More details coming soon.

  • Will you still offer hair education?

Yes, but in a more intentional way. Quality over quantity has become very important to us. All scheduled classes will remain at our current space until we officially open, so if you are signed up for a class, watch your inbox for location changes.

  • Why didn't you just stay where you were?

We loved what we built at 409 Canal Street and are incredibly grateful for that chapter. But after seven years, we knew it was time to build something that truly belonged to our family and our future.

  • Are you expanding?

In some ways, yes. But this move isn't about becoming bigger for the sake of being bigger. It's about becoming better, more efficient, and creating a space that supports our community for years to come.

  • Was buying a building always the goal?

Yes. Once we opened The Network, we knew our next move had to be into a property we owned. We poured so much into our current space that we promised ourselves we'd never do that again unless it was ours

  • Are you nervous?

Absolutely. Excited and grateful too. Big dreams come with big feelings. My biggest fear of course is clients being unhappy with the change, but what I have learned the most over the years is you can't make every single person happy. I hope we lose zero clients during this move but of course thats my perfectionism talking and it's an unrealistic expectation.

  • Can I help support the move?

The best way to support us is exactly how you've always supported us: book appointments, attend classes, shop local, tell your friends, and continue being part of our community. Sharing our posts is also highly appreciated so all customers can see whats going on.

  • Will you miss 409 Canal Street?

Always. That building changed our lives. We built beautiful memories there, survived some incredibly hard seasons there, and grew more than we ever imagined. We'll always be grateful for that chapter.
